Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced that the state government will revive the Cooperative Education Fund within a month to develop skilled human resources and further strengthen the cooperative sector, media reports say.
Addressing a programme organised by the Maharashtra State Cooperative Union, Fadnavis said investing in training and capacity building is essential for sustaining the cooperative movement.
He also highlighted the Centre’s recent policy reforms aimed at tripling the cooperative sector’s contribution to the national GDP, adding that Maharashtra continues to lead the country with over two lakh cooperative societies.
