A crucial meeting of the Board of Directors of the Maharashtra State Cooperative Union was held in Pune in the presence of MLC and prominent cooperative sector leader Pravin Darekar.

The meeting brought together directors and senior officials to deliberate on a wide range of issues concerning the growth and modernization of the cooperative sector in the state.

Discussions focused on enhancing transparency, improving governance standards, strengthening cooperative institutions, and safeguarding the interests of members.

A major highlight of the meeting was the participation of Deepak Taware, Commissioner for Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Maharashtra, who assured the board that several long-pending issues faced by cooperative institutions would be addressed through appropriate administrative measures.

Participants emphasized the need for stronger coordination between cooperative bodies and government agencies to ensure the sustainable growth of the sector.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of stakeholders to strengthen the cooperative movement and make it more efficient, transparent, and member-centric.
