According to the Indian Express reports, the Maharashtra govt will give loans from the state cooperative bank to the state’s cooperative sugar mills facing financial difficulties.
The state govt. will also stand guarantee for these loans.
It is significant that one of the beneficiaries will be the cooperative sugar mill linked to former chief minister and Congress leader Ashok Chavan.
Some other mills including Deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar’s acolyte Amarsinh Pandit’s mill will also be helped to overcome their financial crisis.
