Maha govt offers respite to 250 co-op housing societies

The Maharashtra government will allow 250 existing cooperative housing societies in the state to continue until a new body is elected, reports Hindustan Times.

The decision has been taken given a huge spike in Covid-19 cases in the state.

The government has postponed elections of housing societies three times this year in view of the coronavirus.

The govt. has also given all cooperative bodies an extension of 5 months to carry out the audit of their books.
