Maharashtra based Latur District Central Cooperative Bank has started providing additional public convenience facilities alongside its mobile ATM van services operating across villages in Latur district.
During a recent rural tour, authorities observed difficulties faced by senior citizens, women, and farmers who had gathered in extreme heat for banking transactions. Taking note of the inconvenience, the bank decided to enhance arrangements at every location visited by the mobile ATM vans.
Under the new initiative, villagers will now be provided with seating mats, chilled drinking water, and temporary shade structures to protect them from harsh weather conditions while accessing banking services.
The initiative aims to make rural banking more accessible and citizen-friendly, especially for elderly residents and farmers visiting the mobile units for financial transactions.
The bank stated that understanding public difficulties and ensuring immediate solutions remains central to its service approach, inspired by the people-centric vision of late leader Vilasrao Deshmukh.
