He underlined the vital role of cooperatives in Ladakh’s difficult terrain, ensuring essential supplies, farm inputs, and fair market access during harsh winters.
Calling cooperatives the backbone of the rural economy, he cited initiatives marking the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, including awareness programmes, dairy support, organic farming drives, and community-based processing activities promoting self-reliance.
