Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO) has signed an MoU with the Madhya Pradesh State Biodiversity Board (MPSBB) to support the development of the proposed Mor Van Biodiversity Park in Bhopal.
The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. KRIBHCO Chairman V. Sudhakar Chowdary and Managing Director S.S. Yadav exchanged the MoU with MPSBB Member Secretary Sudeep Singh.
Under the agreement, KRIBHCO will provide financial support of up to Rs 10 crore for approved components of the biodiversity park. The assistance will cover plantation, development of a Nature Interpretation Centre and related infrastructure.
The park is envisaged as an urban green space aimed at conserving biodiversity and creating greater public awareness about local ecosystems. It will also provide citizens, students, researchers and nature enthusiasts opportunities for experiential learning and engagement with nature.
The initiative underlines KRIBHCO’s focus on environmental sustainability and conservation, while complementing its farmer-centric approach to promoting responsible use of natural resources and sustainable development.
