Fertiliser cooperative KRIBHCO marked World Environment Day by organising a large-scale plantation drive at its plant and township in Surat, Gujarat, under the theme “Every Step Towards Protecting Mother Earth.”
The initiative witnessed active participation from employees, officers, senior management and members of the KRIBHCO Ladies Club, reflecting the organisation’s collective commitment towards environmental sustainability.
Addressing the participants, P. Chandra Mohan, Executive Director (Plant), stressed the importance of shared environmental responsibility and the need for collective efforts to protect natural resources for future generations.
As part of the campaign, KRIBHCO planted around 1,500 saplings across the plant premises and township areas. The cooperative said the initiative reaffirmed its commitment to environmental conservation and promoting a greener future.
The plantation drive formed part of KRIBHCO’s broader sustainability and climate-conscious initiatives observed on World Environment Day.
