KRIBHCO, Namibia explore Cooperation in Agri Sectors

Fertilizer cooperative KRIBHCO hosted a high-level delegation from Namibia to explore avenues for cooperation in agriculture and fertilizer sectors, reflecting the growing international engagement of Indian cooperatives.

The Namibian delegation, led by H.E. Wing Commander Alex Tukuhupwele, High Commissioner of the Republic of Namibia, and Mr. Tangeni Mulunga, Deputy Head of Mission, visited KRIBHCO Bhawan for discussions on strengthening bilateral collaboration.

The delegation was received by KRIBHCO Managing Director S.S. Yadav, Executive Director (Technical) C.S. Azad and other senior officials of the cooperative.

During the meeting, both sides discussed opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships in fertilizer production, agricultural development and agri-input management. The deliberations focused on knowledge sharing, capacity building initiatives and the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices to enhance farm productivity and food security.

The interaction also explored possibilities for technical cooperation and exchange of expertise in areas critical to agricultural growth and rural development. Officials emphasized the importance of building strong international partnerships to address emerging challenges in the agriculture sector.

KRIBHCO said the engagement reflected a shared commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture, strengthening food security and promoting economic development through collaborative efforts. The visit is expected to pave the way for deeper cooperation between KRIBHCO and Namibian institutions in the coming years.
