Tejaskumar B. Patel, Chairman of Gujarat based Kheda District Central Cooperative Bank (KDCC Bank), has been honoured with the “International Gold Star Award” by the Economic Growth Foundation in Bangkok, Thailand, for his leadership and contribution to the cooperative banking sector.
Under Patel’s leadership, KDCC Bank has launched several digital initiatives, including WhatsApp banking, QR code-based payment systems, and a modern Document Management System (DMS), helping the bank extend its services to a larger customer base across the region.
The bank has also worked towards preserving local identity and heritage by changing its name from “Kaira” to “Kheda,” symbolising regional pride and cultural roots.
According to the information available, KDCC Bank has focused on strengthening its financial position by reducing non-performing assets (NPAs) and promoting self-employment opportunities. These initiatives have contributed to giving a new direction to cooperative banking and supporting local economic development in Gujarat.
