Kerala to check corruption in co-op sector

The Department of Cooperation in Kerala is taking necessary measures to stop corruption in the cooperative sector, Hindu quotes Minister for Cooperation V.N.Vasavan as saying.

The minister was talking to newsmen at the Calicut press club recently.

The minister revealed that an official on deputation from the Comptroller and Auditor General’s office would be incorporated into the department’s audit wing.

The department has started a Cooperative Audit Monitoring Information System in Kozhikode that would provide all details about cooperative bodies in the state, the minister noted.
