Kerala: Govt revises pay of staff of co-op hospitals

Cooperative movement is pretty strong in the states of Gujarat and Kerala. The Kerala government has issued an order revising the salary of the staff of cooperative hospitals and dispensaries. The new pay scale will have retrospective effect from January 1, 2013, reports New Indian Express.

The minimum pay in the new scale is `6,000 and maximum `78,220. Six percent fitment benefit, service weightage for 7 , 13 and 20 years of service and three stagnation increments on a par with government staff are other highlights.

A range of allowances covering dearness, house rent, medical, spectacle, risk , uniform and washing have been hiked. New allowances have been sanctioned for the posts of pharmacist, lab technician, salesman, electrician, lift operator, driver, watchman, attendant and cleaner posts.
