Karnataka minister talks of mango co-ops

A news outlet quotes Karnataka’s Health Minister K. Sudhakar saying the state govt should establish a cooperative society and provide storage and other facilities for mango crop.

The minister said this while addressing a gathering of mango farmers and sellers.

Sudhakar said like sugarcane farmers in north Karnataka mango farmers in some districts of the state could also work through cooperative societies.

Mangoes are grown in 1.67 lakh hectare area in the state.
