Karnataka guv bats for cooperatives

Karnataka governor H.R.Bhardawaj has underscored the importance of the cooperative sector describing it as the most important source of rural credit in the country.

Mr. Bhardwaj said the cooperative sector has accomplished a great deal but has yet to realize its full potential in the country’s economy. The governor was inaugurating a cooperative election office in Bangalore.

According to Mr Bhardwaj, the cooperative sector needed support from the govt. and its election authority should have complete freedom to be able to hold elections in a free and fair manner.
