IFFCO pays tributes to Deendayal Upadhyaya

Managing Director of IFFCO Dr U S Awasthi has tweeted on the occasion of centenary celebrations of Jan Sangh founder Deendayal Upadhyay and remembered him as a profound thinker and a social scientist par excellence. Late Upadhya was born on 25 September 1916 in Mathura.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also on Sunday paid tributes to him with his tweet “We salute our inspiration, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary,”.

Earlier, Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh said in a function in Delhi ”this year is very important as we are celebrating the birth centenary of great men like Deendayal Upadhayay , Laxmanrao Inamdar and Nanji Deshmukh.

Later in radio address “Mann Ki Baat”, Modi thanked Upadhyaya for giving the nation the principle of “Sarvajan Hitaay, Sarvajan Sukhaay” (Welfare of All, Happiness of All) and for giving a framework to Jana Sangh as well as BJP’s political ideology.

Modi briefly explained Upadhyaya’s complete economic agenda through the slogan “Har haath ko Kaam, Har Khet ko Paani” (Work for every hand and water for every field).

A brilliant student Deendayal Upadhyay is said to have never stood second in his college times. Deendayal Upadhyay is said to have nurtured Jan Sangh after Shyama Prasad Mookerjee’s death. He infused it with as much quality human stuff as with deep philosophy. He is known for his famous work “Integral Humanism”.
