IFFCO Paradip expansion gets public support

A public hearing was held recently for environmental clearance for the expansion of the IFFCO Paradip plant and production of liquid urea, reports Pioneer.

The hearing was presided over by Paradip ADM Kanhu Charan Dhir in the presence of Odisha State Pollution Control Board Regional Officer Pushkar Chandra Behera. A large number of people including environmentalists, social workers and representatives of voluntary organisations took part in the meeting.

The majority of the people participating in the hearing welcomed the IFFCO plant’s expansion and lauded IFFCO’s efforts to spread environmental awareness and various public welfare activities taken up by the organization.
