IFFCO MD wants mission mode for CDF activities

The unmistakable IFFCO stamp was visible on the occasion of the launch of an ambitious body known as Cooperative Development Forum. Be it sitting arrangements on dais or for guests in the audience, one could observe IFFCO’s organizing skill writ large.

Basically, a brain child of IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi, CDF is receiving all the help from the IFFCO, revealed a top officer of the co-op titan. “Our MD feels that once operational in letter and spirit, CDF would prove a game-changer for the sector”, revealed the officer.

Talking to this correspondent, Dr Awasthi sounded confident of CDF’s efficacy in resolving the sector’s issues. “it is time to act rather than to talk; we have to work in a mission mode;”, said Awasthi, who left the dais without making a speech.

I will talk when the opportune moment comes, said Awasthi hinting at crucial assignments beckoning the CDF, of which he himself is a pillar along with Suresh Prabhu and others. Indian Cooperative has gathered that IFFCO MD had earlier instructed his CR man Tarun Bhargava to lend all help to the setting up of CDF.

Tarun had been coordinating on the one hand with Sahakar Bharati leaders such as Dr Uday Joshi and Satish Marathe, and Suresh Prabhu on the other.

Even on the day of the launch, Bhargava could be seen everywhere. People thanked him and the IFFCO profusely for rich Haldiram food packets made available to them after the meeting was over. “It cannot be other than IFFCO”, chuckled some of them after inspecting the stuff in the food packet.
