IFFCO MD gets warm reception in Patna

IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi was accorded a warm reception at the Patna airport on Monday where he had come to attend Dastane-Rag Darbari (based on Ragdarbari), organized in Bihar on the completion of 50 years of the celebrated novel. This news was shared by Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh who led a team of cooperators to the airport to receive the MD.

Later, in a short meeting at the Hotel Murya in Patna Awasthi addressed a select group of state cooperators and assured them of uninterrupted urea supply to the state. Awasthi is also said to have lauded the role played by Biscomaun and Sunil Singh in fighting the black-marketing of fertilizer in the state.

“Though he was here just for a few hours, we were able to present him with a piece of Madhubani painting and a Bhagalpuri shawl”, said Sunil in his WhatsApp message. Patna was pasted with hoardings and cut-outs of a man who has proved the world that co-operatives can beat corporate, added Sunil lauding IFFCO MD.

Besides the Board members of Biscomaun, those present on the occasion to welcome Awasthi included Ramesh Chaubey, Amar Pandey, Gopal Giri, Mahesh Rai, Ram Vishnu Singh, Shailendra Kumar, Amita Bhushan (MLA), Jeetendra Kumar (MLA), among others. There were more than 15 Chairmen of DCCBs who had come to welcome the MD, added Sunil. MD of Biscomaun Mr R P Singh was also there.
