The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) has unveiled the official logo for the ICA Global Conference 2026 to be held in Panama, highlighting cooperation, diversity, sustainability, and peace through a visually symbolic design.
In a social media post, ICA said the conference is being jointly organised with Coop Americas and that the visual identity reflects the role of cooperatives in connecting people, communities, and ideas across regions. At the centre of the logo is the iconic Bridge of the Americas in Panama, portrayed as a metaphor for cooperation and global connectivity.
ICA noted that the bridge is uniquely designed using human figures, symbolising that cooperativism is built and sustained collectively by people. The colourful patterns in the logo are inspired by “molas,” the traditional textile art of Panama’s Indigenous communities, representing cultural identity and diversity.
The design also incorporates elements inspired by Panama’s biodiversity and transforms into a dove, symbolising peace, inclusion, resilience, and the cooperative movement’s commitment to building harmonious societies worldwide.
