International Cooperative Alliance–Asia Pacific (ICA-AP) President Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav has congratulated IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani on his election to the Global Board of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA).
In his congratulatory message, Yadav extended his warm wishes to Sanghani on his election as an At-Large Director, describing the achievement as a proud moment for the Indian cooperative movement.
Yadav said Sanghani’s election would further strengthen India’s representation and voice in the global cooperative movement and expressed confidence that his experience and leadership would contribute meaningfully to the work of the ICA Global Board.
Sanghani and Yadav have shared a long association within the cooperative movement. Yadav had appealed to fellow cooperators to support Sanghani’s candidature.
Yadav was elected ICA-AP President in 2021, becoming the first Indian to head the Asia-Pacific regional organisation. Sanghani was among the prominent Indian cooperators who supported and congratulated him at the time. Their association has continued through various national and international cooperative initiatives.
Sanghani was elected to the ICA Global Board at the General Assembly in Panama on September 15, securing 526 votes. He was the sole candidate from India among those contesting the 15 At-Large positions on the new Global Board.
