Himachal Minister thanks NCDC for support

State level meetings were held at the HIMCAPES College of Nursing and Law in Badheda village of Haroli sub division in Himachal Pradesh in connection with National Cooperative Week, informs the cooperative leader of the state Rajender Sharma.

Minister of Cooperation Rajiv Sahizal and Panchyati Raj Minister  Varinder Kanwar participated in this event. Speaking on the occasion, Saizal said the National Cooperative Development Corporation had granted a sum of Rs 51.47 crores for an Integrated Cooperative Development Project for Una district and a similar project for Chamba district.

The minister assured that he would try to get provisions of Section 118 of the Himachal Pradesh Land Reforms Act waived for cooperative societies to purchase land for development projects.

The minister said the people of Himachal Pradesh could as well succeed in bringing about white revolution in the state like the people in Gujarat.
