The Kaira District Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union Ltd. (Amul Dairy) held its Board of Directors election today at the Amul Dairy premises. Voting was conducted for eight block seats and one individual member seat, with around 900–950 members casting their votes.
The election witnessed high enthusiasm, recording an impressive 97.48% voter turnout. While BJP-backed candidates won uncontested in four of the 12 blocks, elections were held for the remaining eight.
Polling ran from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vote counting will commence on Friday, 12th September, with winners declared soon after.
