HC asks reasons for delay in PACS elections

The High Court in Uttarakhand has not taken kindly to the state govt. not holding elections to the Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) on time, reports Times of India.

The court has asked the govt to explain its position in this connection latest by June 28 when the next hearing will take place on the issue.

It is worth mentioning that some PACS functionaries had filed a PIL in the court.

The term of the current PACS will end in July.
