HC adjourns the case for A P Mahesh Bank for Tuesday

After more than three-hour long hearing in the matter of result-announcement of the election of AP Mahesh Cooperative Bank on Monday, the Telangana High Court adjourned the case for Tuesday i.e. today.

Confirming this, Esther Rani John– the returning officer said to Indian Cooperative, “the Court has adjourned the case for Tuesday after a long argument held between the lawyers of the two sides”.

It bears recall that in the first hearing held last week the Telangana High Court has directed the Returning Officer to resume the counting of votes but barred her from announcing the results. The court asked to submit the result in a sealed envelope.

Marred by controversies of corruption and unfair means, the co-operative elections of AP Mahesh Bank to elect a new BoD saw a new low in the co-op politics. Ramesh Bung, the only known face in Delhi cooperative circle from Mahesh Bank, has also been in thick of controversies.
