The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram has approved renaming the main road, Gyan Marg, in Sector 18 Industrial Area as Shri Laxman Rao Inamdar Marg, in recognition of the veteran cooperative leader.
The decision was approved during the Corporation’s 7th House Meeting.
In an official letter, the Executive Engineer (HQ), Municipal Corporation Gurugram, informed the Director General of the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) about the approval and forwarded the relevant proceedings for further necessary action.
The communication was addressed to NCDC’s Laxmanrao Inamdar National Cooperative Research and Development Academy (LINAC), located in Gurugram.
The letter was issued following discussions with the office of the Municipal Corporation’s Mayor.
The renaming marks a tribute to Laxman Rao Inamdar’s contribution to India’s cooperative movement.
