On the sidelines of Gulfood 2026, Deepak Agarwal, IAS, Managing Director of the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED), held discussions with Kesh Gelda and Smt. Jaymala Gelda of Gelda Foods on international agri-commodity trade.
The interaction focused on emerging global market trends, export opportunities and avenues for strengthening cooperation in agri-commodities. Both sides exchanged views on potential areas of collaboration that could support expanded trade linkages and value chain integration.
Officials said the meeting reflects NAFED’s continued efforts to expand its global outreach and engage with international agri-business players. Participation in platforms such as Gulfood 2026 enables NAFED to explore new markets, promote Indian agricultural commodities overseas and build strategic partnerships to strengthen India’s presence in global agri-trade.
