Gopalganj Central Co-op Bank’s deposits cross Rs 360cr

Bihar based Gopalganj Central Cooperative Bank earned a profit of Rs 40 lakh and crossed the deposit base of Rs 360 crore.

The meeting was inaugurated by the Gopalganj District Magistrate Naval Kishore Chaudhary.

The financial figures were revealed during the board meeting of the bank held last week under the chairmanship of Mahesh Rai, who was recently in the news for winning the elections of Barhara PACCs with huge margins.

The deposits of the bank increased from Rs 359 crore (2020-21) to Rs 367 crore as on 31st March 2022 whereas the bank’s profit rose from Rs 26 lakh to Rs 40.81 lakh.

During the year, the bank made a spectacular performance in bringing down the NPA levels. The gross NPA of the bank reduced from 28.06 percent to 17.01 percent whereas the net NPA decreased from 19.87 percent to 12.37 percent.

As on 31st March 2022, the CRAR of the bank stood at 21.96 percent. On this occasion, Chaudhary inaugurated the locker service in the bank’s Gopalganj branch.
