Good news for Pawars as court turns down ED’s request

A court in Mumbai has turned down ED’s request for the court’s intervention in the hearing on a closure report of Mumbai Police in the Rs 25,000 crore MSC Bank scam, reports PTI.

The EOW of the Mumbai police had earlier filed a closure report before the ACB court saying there was no criminal aspect to the scam.

However, the ED’s contention was that the EOW’s closure report was defective and therefore the report should be dismissed as unacceptable.

Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar is one of the scores of people involved in the scam.
