GCMMF, MD R.S.Sodhi recently said Amul will invest Rs 600-800 crore in the current fiscal in establishing new modern milk processing plants and expanding capacity of existing units, reports PTI.
The Gujarat dairy cooperative notched up a 13 per cent increase in turnover at Rs 33,150 crore during 2018-19, is likely post a 20 per cent increase in its turnover in the current financial year at around Rs 40,000 crore, he claimed.
Sodhi added that GCMMF invests a huge amount of money on business expansion and modernization every year. Amul Federation milk procurement counts 230 lakh litre a day.
