Union Minister of State for Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol on Thursday met the newly elected office-bearers and Board of Directors of National Federation of Fishers’ Cooperatives Ltd. (FISHCOPFED) at the Ministry of Cooperation in New Delhi and extended his best wishes on their new responsibilities.
The delegation included newly elected Chairman Prakash Lonare, Vice Chairperson Jayashree Garanayak and other members of the newly elected Board of Directors, who paid a courtesy visit to the minister.
Congratulating the new leadership, Mohol expressed confidence that under their stewardship, the fisheries cooperative sector would gain new direction, renewed energy and scale greater heights.
He wished the office-bearers a successful tenure and said their leadership would further strengthen the cooperative movement in the fisheries sector.
The minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, the vision of ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ is steadily becoming a reality across the country.
Mohol also highlighted that FISHCOPFED plays a vital role in promoting fisheries cooperatives, empowering the fishing community and contributing to the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
