Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has said that the use of Nano Urea and Nano DAP is increasing across the state as an effective alternative to conventional chemical fertilizers.
He noted that nano fertilizers help maintain soil fertility, improve crop productivity, and deliver better agricultural outcomes for farmers.
Speaking at a programme in Darrapara village of Gariaband district, the Chief Minister said the state government is ensuring the availability of quality fertilizers and seeds to farmers through Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS).
He added that 515 PACS have been launched so far, strengthening the cooperative network and improving access to agricultural inputs in rural areas.
Sai also highlighted India’s dependence on imports for a significant portion of its DAP and urea requirements. To address this challenge, the state is encouraging the adoption of Nano Urea and Nano DAP as efficient and sustainable alternatives.
The initiative is expected to reduce reliance on imported fertilizers while supporting higher farm productivity and sustainable agriculture.
