Farmers’ connect: Awasthi in Junagarh

Wrapping up his professional engagement at FAI in Delhi by Wednesday evening, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi was back on his farmers’ connect campaign on Thursday and visited Junagadh in Gujarat. It was his eleventh destination in a series of meetings with farmers across the country.

In Junagarh he explained to farmers the importance of cashless transactions – a dream project of PM Narendra Modi. He wrote on Twitter“ #IFFCO taking PM @narendramodi’s words & educating farmers in for #CashLess transactions. Live Demo at #Junagarh @PMOIndia #50yearsofIFFCO.

IFFCO Director and MP from Porbandar Vithal Bhai Radadiya accompanied him and encouraged farmers to do cashless transaction to buy IFFCO fertilizer and Seeds. Radadiya was recently in news for voicing problems being faced by farmers in buying seed and inputs in the wake of demonetization.

He was impressed by IFFCO MD’s bid to help farmers go cashless. Talking about his presence Awasthi tweeted “Along with #IFFCO director & MP from #Porbandar Shri Vithal Bhai Radadiya encouraging #Farmers to do #CashLess transactions. #50yearsofIFFCO”, according to Awasthi’s twitter wall.

During his journey to Junagadh, IFFCO MD inaugurated a health camp organized by IFFCO’S partner company.
