Farm Loan Waiver Demand raised before Maha Minister

In a significant move aimed at addressing the concerns of farmers, a delegation of cooperative leaders met Maharashtra Cooperation Minister and senior NCP leader Babasaheb Patil to submit a memorandum seeking relief measures, including farm loan waiver-related demands for farmers across Maharashtra, particularly those in Ratnagiri district.

The delegation included Ratnagiri District Central Cooperative Bank Vice Chairman Babajirao Jadhav, who highlighted various issues affecting farmers and stressed the need for immediate government intervention to ease their financial burden.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on multiple aspects of farm loan waiver, the challenges faced by farmers, and the role of cooperative institutions in supporting the rural economy.

The delegation urged the state government to take a sympathetic view of farmers’ demands and implement measures that would provide meaningful relief to the agricultural community.

Minister Babasaheb Patil assured the delegation that the demands would be examined positively and that the government remains committed to safeguarding the interests of farmers and strengthening Maharashtra’s cooperative sector.
