Sudan’s Ambassador to India, Mohammed Eltom, has held discussions with Pankaj Bansal, Managing Director of the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), to explore cooperation in agricultural cooperatives, food security and rural development.
Sharing details of the meeting on X (formerly Twitter), Ambassador Eltom described the interaction as productive and said the discussions focused on leveraging India’s cooperative expertise to support Sudan’s reconstruction efforts.
The two sides deliberated on potential collaboration in strengthening agricultural cooperatives, enhancing food security and promoting rural development initiatives.
The proposed cooperation is expected to contribute to rebuilding Sudan’s agricultural ecosystem and improving livelihoods through the cooperative model.
