Durg DCCB Chairman Belchandan again in news

Several farmers protested against the Pritpal Belchandan, Chairman and Niwasrakar, CEO of Durg Central Cooperative Bank in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.

The District Cooperative Central Bank has stopped the transactions of three PACS societies associated with the bank.

The ban was imposed because the committee did not give charge to the new committee appointed by the bank.

The Chairmen of these societies and several farmers visited the office of Collector.

With the change of guard in Chhattisgarh, Preetpal Belchandan has been found mired in several controversies from land to the bungling in co-op elections.

The state govt has tightened screw on him and has lodged a complaint in the Economic Offences Wing (EOW).
