In rural India, the Namo Drone Didi scheme is empowering women like Sakshi Pandey from Madhya Pradesh with drone technology skills, transforming lives and livelihoods, media reports say.
Sakshi left her modest-paying private job to operate agricultural drones, now earning up to Rs 25,000 monthly while working within her community.
After a 15-day training by IFFCO, she began training hundreds of women and received a drone for her achievements. Drones increase efficiency, save water, and improve fertiliser application.
With government support and the IFFCO Udaan app, this initiative is driving rural empowerment and sustainable farming forward.
