Dora elected Chairman of Odisha State Co-op Bank

The well-known face in Delhi cooperative circles and former Chairman of Fishcopfed Prasad Dora was elected as the President of Odisha State Cooperative Bank, in an election held last week.

The announcement of Dora’s name as the new President of the Bank, created a joyous moment among his followers, who lost no time in congratulating him through social media.

Talking to the Indian Cooperative Dora said, “I am very thankful to our Honourable Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and the board of directors for reposing faith in me and giving me such a big responsibility. I will try to meet their expectations”.

“Today, I am going to meet the Odisha Chief Minister and will soon take charge as the new President of OSCB”, he added.

Readers would recall that the bank’s board consists of 21 directors and the elections were held for 10 seats, the winners of the remaining seats were declared unopposed. Out of 10, eight seats were won by BJD leaders and 2 seats were won by the BJP.

The Vice-Chairman’s election will be held in a few days.
