A change of guard has taken place at one of Maharashtra’s multi-state credit cooperative societies, Dharampeth Mahila Multi-State Co-operative Society Limited, Nagpur, with outgoing Vice-President Sarika Pendse being elected unopposed as President of the society, replacing Nilima Bawane at the top post.
Meanwhile, Anagha Vaidya has been elected unopposed as Vice-President. The appointments of both the President and Vice-President received the requisite approval from officials of the Cooperative Election Authority on Thursday.
It bears recalling that the election to the Board of Directors of the society was also held unopposed earlier.
The society has a business mix exceeding Rs 2,500 crore and has received several honours across different categories in recognition of its outstanding performance.
