Deshmukh visits Beereshwar Society, backs Co-op Led Prosperity

Former Maharashtra Cooperation Minister Subhash Deshmukh visited the sprawling headquarters of Shri Beereshwar Co-operative Credit Society at Examba on Friday, where he was warmly welcomed by the society’s founder Annasaheb Jolle.

During the visit, Deshmukh held detailed discussions with Jolle and other cooperative leaders on strengthening the cooperative movement and expanding its role in rural economic development.

The leaders exchanged views on employment generation, financial inclusion, cooperative banking and initiatives aimed at empowering rural communities through cooperative institutions.

The meeting highlighted the importance of building stronger and more people-centric cooperatives to ensure economic opportunities reach grassroots communities. Both leaders emphasized that the cooperative sector can become a major driver of rural prosperity when supported through innovation, financial discipline and community participation.

Several directors, office-bearers and staff members of the society were present during the interaction, which was described as a positive step toward promoting cooperative-led development and strengthening the vision of “Prosperity Through Cooperation.”
