Demand for separate recruitment board for co-ops

Maharashtra Congress legislative party leader Amit Chavda has called for the establishment of a separate recruitment board for the cooperative sector in the state, citing a need for transparency, reports New Indian Express.

Chavda’s demand arose during discussions in the Assembly regarding budgetary allocations for cooperation and infrastructure development.

He highlighted concerns over alleged scams and opaque recruitment processes within cooperative institutions, stating that this has eroded the confidence of the youth.

Chavda criticized the ruling BJP, accusing them of excessive government intervention in the cooperative sector, which he believes has undermined the spirit of cooperation.
