The United Thrift and Credit Cooperative Societies Federation of Delhi Ltd has elected its new Managing Committee for the 2026–2029 term, with all nine candidates declared elected unopposed at a Special General Body Meeting held on August 23 at Naraina Industrial Area, New Delhi.
The election was conducted under the supervision of Ravikanth, a retired IAS officer appointed as Election Officer by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Delhi.
The election process began with the issue of the agenda on July 8. Proposals were received from representatives of 54 credit societies by July 24. Of the 17 nomination papers filed on August 10, 13 were found valid during scrutiny, while four candidates subsequently withdrew their nominations.
Sunil Gupta, representing Jannidhi Credit Society, was elected President, while Reema Tyagi of Janhit Credit Society was elected Vice-President. The elected Managing Committee members include Atul Kumar Jain, Cluster Credit Society; Vimal, Rohilla Credit Society; Bimla Koli, Rajasthan Koli Credit Society; Shivshankar Gupta, Mahalakshmi Credit Society; Vishnupal Bansal, Guru Madhav Credit Society; Pravesh Kumar Gupta, Aryavrat Credit Society; and Ashok Kumar Chhibber, Bhai Mati Das Credit Society.
The newly elected President and Vice-President thanked members and assured them of efforts to make the federation more active and stronger during the new term.
