DC Rohtak pushes for diversified credit at CCB review

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Rohtak, Haryana chaired a comprehensive review meeting of Rohtak Central Cooperative Bank, directing officials to expand rural credit beyond traditional crop loans and promote diversified agricultural income.

During the meeting, the DC emphasized the effective implementation of zero-interest crop loans through Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), ensuring timely and affordable credit to farmers.

At the same time, he stressed that cooperative banks must widen their lending portfolio to include allied sectors such as animal husbandry, fisheries, horticulture, and beekeeping to strengthen farmers’ financial stability.

The Scale of Finance for the financial year 2026–27 was also finalized, providing clarity on crop-wise loan limits and input costs.
