FE reports GCMMF the owner of brand Amul has said Covid -19 will not adversely affect their supply of milk.
GCMMF MD R.S.Sodhi said there would be no shortage of milk under any circumstances across the country. In the wake of the coronavirus, a large number of people are buying milk from e-commerce platforms and AMUL kiosks, Sodhi claimed.
Since January this year GCMMF’s procurement of milk has up-ticked from 23 million litre to 26 million litre per day compared to last year.
Sodhi made a particular mention of the fact that Amul has registered 18% growth during the current fiscal, compared to 14 percent growth in the previous financial year.
