The Cosmos Cooperative Bank Ltd. marked a significant milestone by celebrating its 120th anniversary on January 18 at its head office on University Road, Pune. The occasion highlighted the bank’s long-standing presence in the cooperative banking space and its continued engagement with members and customers.
To commemorate the anniversary, the bank organised a ‘Tilgul Samarambha’ at Sahakar Sabhagruha. The event drew a large gathering of members, depositors, account holders and well-wishers, reflecting the strong connect the institution enjoys with its stakeholder community.
The programme began with the felicitation of employees who achieved targets in Current and Savings Accounts (CASA) mobilisation and loan disbursement. They were recognised for their performance and contribution to the bank’s growth.
Managing Director Apekshita Thipsay welcomed the gathering and presented an overview of the bank’s journey, progress and key achievements over the years. On the occasion, she announced that Cosmos Bank has crossed a total business size of Rs. 40,000 crore, underlining its steady expansion and financial strength.
The chief guest, Dilip Satbhai, delivered a focused address on financial literacy, emphasising the need for financial awareness, prudent investment behaviour and informed decision-making in an increasingly complex economic environment. His talk underscored the role of cooperative banks in promoting financial stability among citizens.
Members of the Board of Directors, Board of Management, executives and staff were present at the celebration. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Joint Managing Director Arti Dhole, while the proceedings were conducted by Prachi Ghotkar.
