From Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh to IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi to Sahakar Bharati Chief Jyotindra Mehta, cooperative leaders celebrated Makar Sankranti with enthusiasm across the country and welcomed the Indian Calendar’s New Year.
Dr U S Awasthi Managing Director of IFFCO posted a tweet and said “I convey my greetings on the occasion of Bihu, Makar Sankranti and Pongal to all. These festivals have special significance for the farmers of country.
Jyotindrabhai Mehta enjoyed the tradition of flying Kites with Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Soon after the celebration, Mehta wrote on Social Media “Reunion on the occasion of Kite festival without break since 36 years! Close friends had a great time with Hon. Chief Minister”.

Cooperators, media persons and others at his residence on Ashoka Road in New Delhi.
Senior BJP leaders including BJP, Delhi President Manoj Tewari, Shahnawaz Husain, J P Nadda, Menakashi Lekhi, Shyam Jaju and others made it to Singh’s Ashoka Road residence.
Several other cooperators including Dileepbhai Sanghani, NCUI President Chandra Pal Singh and others leaders also celebrated the day with great fervor and spirit.
