Rajasthan Cooperation Minister Gautam Kumar Dak, on Saturday said that the State is fully committed to fulfilling the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who firmly believes that the cooperative sector will play a vital role in realising the goal of a Viksit Bharat.
He emphasised that cooperatives have immense potential to generate employment and create large-scale livelihoods across both rural and urban areas.
Addressing the ‘Sahkar Sangam–2026’ programme organised by the Association of Rajasthan Co-operative Subordinate Services (ARCSS) at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur, Dak called upon all stakeholders to discharge their responsibilities with dedication and sincerity to translate the Prime Minister’s vision into reality and strengthen the cooperative movement as a driver of inclusive growth.
The Minister underlined that cooperative inspectors are the backbone of the Cooperation Department and should expand their role beyond inspection to become protectors and guides of cooperative societies. He said there is a collective responsibility to make cooperatives strong, capable and competitive in line with present-day requirements.
Dak noted that although cooperatives had weakened financially in recent years due to economic changes, the sector is now being revitalised under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and the guidance of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah through the ‘Sahkar se Samriddhi’ initiative, which includes nearly 120 reform measures.
