Co-op society officials looted in Punjab

Two masked youths robbed Rs 12 lakh from two employees of a cooperative society near Manaki village after firing at one of them. The Sandaur police have registered a case in this regard, reports The Tribune.

Two employees of the society, salesman Rajinder Singh and peon Shingara Singh, left their office at Manki on a scooty to deposit Rs 12 lakh at Cooperative Bank, Panjgrayan.

They had covered only a short distance on the Manki-Panjgrayan road when two persons, with their faces covered, came on a motorcycle and threw chilly powder towards them. Rajinder Singh lost balance over the scooty and both fell on the road.
