Co-op official caught red-handed

A District Co-operative Officer of Dumka block, was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jharkhand while accepting bribe, reports Business Standard.

Police say he was accepting Rs 12,000 from a transport agent, for clearing the outstanding bills of Rs. 2.83 lakh.

The transport agent, who lifts food grains from FCI godown and delivers it to Public Distribution System dealers in the district, had registered a complaint with the ACB against the cooperative official.
