Co-op election: Odisha seeks SC nod

supreme court After countless flip-flops, the Odisha govt seems to have finally overcome its reluctance in holding cooperative elections in the state.

The state govt has sought permission from the Supreme Court to hold cooperative polls. It is worth mentioning that the matter has been sub-judice in the apex court.

The state government has conveyed its decision to the Odisha High Court through the registrar of the state cooperative society because the govt petition challenging the High Court order with regard to cooperative polls is pending with the apex court.
