Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday distributed appointment letters to 500 newly selected auditors at Lok Bhavan, marking a significant step toward strengthening transparency and accountability in the cooperative sector.
The recruitment was conducted through the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission.
Of the total, 371 auditors have been appointed for cooperative societies and the Panchayat audit department, seen as a major boost to financial oversight and governance in cooperative institutions, while 129 auditors will serve in the Local Fund Audit Department.
Highlighting the importance of robust auditing systems, the Chief Minister said that transparent and efficient financial monitoring is essential for building trust in cooperatives and ensuring their sustainable growth. He emphasized that stronger audit mechanisms will enhance accountability and improve the functioning of grassroots institutions.
Calling on the newly appointed auditors to uphold integrity, Yogi Adityanath urged them to contribute to the vision of a “Developed India” by playing an active role in building a “Developed Uttar Pradesh,” particularly by strengthening the cooperative framework at the grassroots level.
